Short Description
Two cucumber (namako) shaped perforations have been cut into the vertical axis; the horizontal axis with two calabash-shaped perforations forming the kogai- and kozuka hitsu ana. Engraved (kebori) brass leaf tendrils are laid in flat (hirazogan) to the iron surface, a technique used at the Heianjo- and Yoshiro-school of sword furniture in early Edo Japan.
