About This Work
Large bronze Vase with a beautiful patina of different colours.
Yoshihisa Hasegawa (1928-2002) was a Japanese metal artist from Yamagata Prefecture active in the Shōwa and early Heisei periods. He participated in the prestigious Nitten exhibitions from 1958 onward and became known for his mastery of bronze casting and patination. His works often explore the interplay of form, surface texture, and the natural aging process of metal.
