Short Description
Rectangular box of mulberry wood with inwardly curving sides, executed in hiramakie and ishime. A pattern of stylised waves in granular black lacquer (ishime), outlined in double lines of gold lacquer, flows from the lid onto the sides. The stylisation reflects the Rinpa style. Signed Shugetsu, with seal (illegible). No tomobako.
