Short Description
A slightly concave, openwork iron tsuba, inspired by the shape of the sword guard of a European rapier. The floral decoration is deeply carved and richly detailed, with two dragons in lively motion at the top. The nakagohitsu (central opening) seems to subtly suggest the shape of a hidden cross. Fine gilded accents emphasise the refinement of the whole.
