Short Description
A heavily potted globular vessel on a short spreading foot, built from overlapping curved plates whose raised seams sweep diagonally across the body. The plates are fixed with ceramic bolt heads and washers, modelled in convincing detail, and several bolt ends reappear on the inner wall. The plates stop at staggered heights, leaving the mouth deliberately irregular. A satin glaze shifts from plum and rust-red to gunmetal grey, convincingly evoking weathered sheet iron. The unglazed base reveals a buff clay body.
