Short Description

This incense burner is a fine example of Kyoto-yaki, reflecting traditional design elements both in form and decoration. The ceramic body is adorned with a vivid pattern of swirling blue cloud-like motifs set against a backdrop of yellow and white spirals. These patterns are reminiscent of traditional cloud and wave designs, often symbolizing energy, transformation, or spiritual presence. The burner stands on three short legs, giving it a stable tripod form. Atop the vessel rests a domed metal lid, intricately pierced with a lattice design that allows the fragrant smoke to rise gently when incense is burned inside. A beautiful example of a combination of practical function and refined artistry.
